Sundance Festival
What is it?
The Sundance Film Festival in an American fil festival that takes place annually in Utah.
This year the festival took place from January 19 to 29. It is the largest independent film festival in the United States. American and international independent filmmakers take advantage of this event as a showcase for their work.
This year, some Films have been noticed such as “I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore” by Macon Blair one of the eight finished projects of the goliath Netflix which continued to loom large at Sundance Festival.
“The Big Sick” a romantic comedy sold in a $12 Million deal to Amazon;
“Call me by your Name” by Luca Guadagnino. This gay love story, starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer, was rapturously received.
Over the years, Sundance Film Festival has an impressive track record of launching major careers. You probably know some of these names as Jennifer Lawrence or Ryan Gosling.
At STAGE Films we bet we will hear of Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick) or Timothee Chalamet in “Call Me By Your Name” offered the best coming-of-age portrait of the festival.
